Members of this department are responsible for the following:
Ø Ensure that all electrical appliances like changeover switches, ceiling fans, standing fans, junction boxes, stabilizers, etc are in good working conditions.
Ø Ensure that the PHCN bills are promptly paid.
Ø Ensure that the Generators are in good working condition, and are serviced regularly.
Ø The implication of item 3 is that a log book should be kept concerning the date of last servicing and the date for the next servicing; this should include fueling, servicing and repair costs.
Ø Ensure that the electrical equipments are working properly, especially before church services and meetings – this means that all dead bulbs must be detected and replaced.
Ø Ensure that all the lights and equipments are switched on before the services/meetings, and switched off after the services/meetings.
Ø Research for the best electrical materials and equipments that are available in the market.
Ø Ensure that regular observations of the electrical wire networks are maintained, in order to prevent fire outbreaks and power-cuts during services/meetings.
Ø Ensure the generators are ready for services/meetings, by fueling, oiling, cleaning, etc.
Ø Ensure that the generator is switched on promptly just before the services/meetings, and that it is switched off just after services/meetings.
Ø Ensure that church authorities are notified if any of the appliances are not working, or are beginning to show signs of malfunctioning.
